SSL Certificate Signing Request (CSR) for Citrix

Quick & Easy Guideline to Generate CSR for Citrix SSL Certificates

CSR Generation in Citrix Access Gateway

Creating a CSR in Citrix Access Gateway is done using "Certificate Request Generator" present in the Administrator Tool.

Step 1 – Go to the Administration Tool, select the Access Gateway Cluster tab and open the window.

Step 2 – In the section titled "Certificate Signing Request" enter your company information.

In the 'Access Gateway' field, enter a fully qualified domain name (FQDN) which the server is accessed externally. If you're generating a Wildcard certificate, put an asterisk (*) at the specific sub-domain level you wish to secure.

Please Note: The password specified will be the same password for your private key.

Step 3 – Click the "Generate Request" button

Step 4 – Enter a file name, select a location, and click Save

Step 5 – You'll receive a dialog box saying, "CSR generated successfully"

Step 6 – Finally, open the newly created CSR with a text editor (i.e. Notepad) and copy/paste the text (including the BEGINNING and END tags) in the blank text box provided in the online SSL generation form via www.thesslstore.com.

Please Note: After you complete validation and receive the SSL certificate from the issuing Certificate Authority, proceed with the next step using our SSL Installation instructions.
